September 26^th Collective
London Organising Meeting Minutes

The meeting was attended by 14 people from various
groups.

Overview:

We discussed what the s26collective is and what it isn't. We thought that we should organise as a London based collective which will organise transport/trainings,agitprop and a teach-in in early/mid september. The UK-wide collective which basically consists of this email list and the phantom bulletin (the next bulletin will be A3 sized and WILL be actually widely distributed, it's available MAY 30th).

S26 collective (London)

Mobilisation:

We expressed the fact that regionally based groups be it under what ever name should also organise their own local transport/propaganda if need be but London being probably a focal point for travelling to prague will provide coaches. Also it was suggested that people who go on our
coaches will be required to undertake some training relating to possible situations arising on S26 in prague this will also include legal info. A sub group was formed which will organise mobilisation related stuff. If your london based and would like to get involved in this subgroup then please

Propaganda:

Various things are proposed. The map idea, leaflets, a pamphlet on similar lines as the "citizens guide to the WTO" produced by Public citizen for N30. A sub group was formed which will
meet before the next general meeting to discuss what agitprop we will do. Again if you like to get creative and help out then email me. (I'm using my email as contact as the people involved in these subgroups haven't given me their consent to use their emails as contacts. This will be sorted next week)

Teach-In:

People agreed that the London Teach-in for early/mid september was needed especially when things pick up. This might be the first time people would have heard about the mobilisation so
expect alot of repeat workshops about trainings/legal info. this would be a great place to get people to go to prague. A sub group was formed to organise the teach-in.

Fundraising:

We will need cash to do this effectively so a bank account will be available for donations also we proposed that 20% of our funds go to the Czech INPEG to cover costs of the counter-summit. At this stage it's unclear how much we need.

S26 collective (UK)

The UK-wide collective discussed a speaking tour of the UK this will basically involve an info shop and a networking meeting where local groups can be informed or can feedback on how they're organising. The Sheffeild meeting is not going ahead on June 4th anymore. I know that Sheffield is having a meeting on June 18th which will include discussing a local action for s26. I think June 25th will be good to have a meeting by people from the s26 collective in London who will
attend the prague J16-J19 meeting. The UK-wide collective is also doing the prague bulletin. The new ones out on MAY 30th and will be widely distributed. The bulletin is a UK wide effort so if you know of groups organising meetings about S26 then please email me them so I can include it on the bulletin. Also contacts details of groups will be cool to have for the contacts list which will be on every bulletin.

The NEXT LONDON MEETING IS JUNE 12th 7.30pm @ cock tavern
There will be a AGIT-PROP meeting and a MOBILISATION meeting
before then so get in touch.
