Call to Wage a World-Wide Militant Protest Movement against IMF/WB
I’m Mushrefa Mishu, convenor of ‘Revolutionary Unity Front’
and president of ‘Garments Workers Unity forum’ (Bangladesh),
call to all oppressed male and female - wage a mass militant ovement
against Imperialists’ IMF/WB, the greatest enemy of world people.
I would like to utter very apparently - these IMF and WB are responsible
for reducing most of the people of the world to live below poverty line.
These two institutions are responsible for the extensive environment
pollution of the world, unemployment of the innumerable youths of the
whole world, termination of millions of workers in different countries
across the world. Our
lands are getting infertile and sterile day by day, millions of children
are dying from malnutrition and wanting foods. For causing various types
of noticeable exploitation and disparity against women, IMF/WB are extremely
responsible. In a word, IMF/WB are recognised enemies of all oppressed
men and women of the world.
All of you know, Bangladesh is an underdeveloped country. All developed
countries today turned into industrialised states through extensive
industrialised . But the regretful matter is, IMF/WB pressurise our
Government repeatedly not to build up industries. Thousands of industries
have been laid off due to the anti-people policy of IMF/WB. Millions
of workers are being sacked regularly. The route to industrialisation
of our country came into a halt for the IMF/WB anti mass policies. These
two institutions are imposing on our country an anti-environmental agri-policy.
Besides, for a flood control project name as ‘Flood Action Plan’
and various types of anti-environment disasters are taking place in
our country. A number of 15 thousand varieties of delicious rice cultivation
have been exterminated for ever as for the different anti-environment
project and agri-policies of IMF/WB. Our lands are getting sterile day
by day. Though Bangladesh is mainly a river-rhine country. A huge variety
of fishes, flora and fauna is on the verge of extinction for the huge
environment pollution. Poisonous lead (Pb) is found in the blood of
our children for this environment pollution. As a result, our children
are being attacked by the multiple diseases including Asthma. IMF/WB
are imposing on our women a birth control / contraceptive
planning which is very hazardous to their health. As a result, many
women are becoming sterile forever. Uteruses of many women are getting
inoperative for being attacked by various types of disease. So we don’t
feel any problem to understand that IMF/WB are also anti-women. For
IMF/WB policy, at present, 150 million youths both male and female are
totally unemployed.
These two institutions interfere in our sectors of education, agriculture,
health, transportation and all other development sectors. Even they
directly interfere while making our national budget. Since the decade
of the 80’s, mineral resources Oil and Gas are being started to
be explored here. Now IMF/WB are imposing a force on us to lease out
the Gas and Oil fields including seaport to the multinational companies.
In this way, by protecting the interest of multinational companies they
are pushing our countries from poor to poorer condition. Even they are
trumping our national independence and sovereignty through bossing and
meddling in our internal affairs including politics. So IMF/WB are our
recognised enemies. It is known to me, what picture of IMF/WB’s
aggression I portrayed here, is true for the most of all countries.
So I think, the principal task of all suppressed male and female of
the world is to make an all out mass militant against these killers
and aggressive forces.
We know PGA has already declared the 26th September as a ‘Global
Day of Action’ during the Annual General Meeting of the IMF/WB
in Prague. Our organisation RUF and our six mass organisations have
also chalked out together a lay seize program in the premises of WB
country office in Dhaka and agitating procession and demonstration including
mass rally with waving
black flags. We hope to be capable of waging a militant protest movement
through participating the students, women, workers along with the people
of all strata as well as progressive political parties, individuals
and forces. I call upon all the oppressed male female of the world to
make PGA- declared ‘Global Day of Action’ all out successful.
Wage a militant protest movement against the IMF/WB locally in Prague
and a mass militant protest movement against these recognised enemies
and voloptuous in each country of the whole world. Let this century
be down with WTO/IMF/WB and all other oppressors, and victory of all
suppressed male-female of the world. Our victory is inevitable. Greetings
to all my struggling friends of the world.
